Málaga CF supports the candidacy of the Antequera dolmen sites as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
During the last match at La Rosaleda against Atlético de Madrid, the Club wanted to show its support for the candidacy of the Antequera site, with the final decision regarding the possible UNESCO appointment taking place next July in Turkey.
As such the ‘SuperPiedra’ (‘SuperStone’) mascot distributed t-shirts to fans in the terraces, and will again be present during the first home match of 2016 against Celta de Vigo.
Before kick-off and in half-time during the Málaga-Atlético match, the Club displayed a promotional video in which Manuel Barón (Mayor of Antequera) explains the details of the dolmen sites, a spectacular enclave which also encompasses Menga, Viera, El Romeral, El Torcal and the Peña de los Enamorados.
Also in the ‘Malaguista’ publication, ‘La Bombonera’, “El Tebeo de Piedra” (“The Comic Stone”) will feature, with drawings and scripts from Pachi and Idígoras, who will tell the story of the Antequera dolmen sites in the Blue and Whites’ magazine until the end of the season.
