Málaga CF and FC Basel agree transfer of Serbian international midfielder, Zdravko Kuzmanovic ahead of the season.
The 28-year old Balkans player born in Thun (Switzerland) on 22nd September 1897, is a midfielder who occupies the wide area of midfield with great physical power, thanks to his 1’86 height. The player, who has extensive experience in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League in clubs such as Inter Milan, Fiorentina and Stuttgart, has accumulated 50 caps with Serbia.
Career
Kuzmanovic developed his career in three countries: Switzerland, Italy and Germany. With FC Basel he kicked off his footballing career (2005-07), winning the Swiss Cup in 2007. He later joined the ranks of Italy’s Fiorentina (2006-09), Germany’s VFB Stuttgart (2009-13) and Inter Milan (2013-15). Last season, 2015/16, he returned to his country of origin, playing the first half of the season with FC Basel in Switzerland. During the second half, he was loaned out to Serie A side, Udinese Calcio.
International
The Serbian midfielder, raised in Switzerland, played in the youth ranks of the Swiss national team. He later debuted with Serbia’s first team, taking part in 50 official matches, scoring six goals. An important number of international appearances including the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where he played three games in the first stage of the most important tournament in the world.
