Miguel Ángel Garrido Cifuentes, known in the footballing world as ‘Cifu’, arrives at the Blue and Whites’ Club on loan from Elche CF for the remainder of 2015/16.
The player, born in Zújar (Granada) passed the medical exam this Tuesday morning at Clínicas Rincón-La Rosaleda. Cifu will join his new teammates in training tomorrow for the first time at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. Then at 1 p.m., the right winger will be officially presented as an MCF player in the Juan Cortés press room at La Rosaleda stadium.

An attacking winger who operates on the right, starting from the side and advancing regularly as he reaches the end line. Whilst he usually plays as a classic number ‘2’, his versatility allows him to play as a right midfielder. Cifu has spent nearly his entire career between the Second and Second B Divisions of Spanish football.
In 2010/11, he signed to Elche CF, from Third Division side, Torrellano CF. The following season, Cifu played for Orihuela in Second B Division, where he was part of the promotion win to the Second Division of Spanish football (2011/12). He later returned to the Alicante side to join the reserve team, and thrived with Elche Ilicitano in Second B during the 2013/14 campaign.
In 2014/15, on loan from Elche CF, he completed a great season as an indispensable part of Girona CF, who finished third in the Liga Adelante and took part in the LaLiga promotion play-offs, losing out to Real Zaragoza. Cifu played a total of 41 matches (40 in the starting-11, 35 entire games) with Girona. So far this 2015/16 season, Cifu has played 17 Second Division matches and one Cup game.
