Francesc Arnau Grabalosa has been named as the new sports director by the Board of Directors of Málaga CF S.A.D., replacing Mario Armando Husillos.
Arnau (Girona, 23/05/1975) therefore leaves his duties as assistant director of La Academia, a role he took up when he retired as a footballer with Málaga CF, the team where he finished his career as Blue and Whites’ captain in 2010/11.
Having trained as a player with FC Barcelona, he arrived at Málaga in 2001/02 and was a member of the team that won the Intertoto Cup and reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup (2002/03), as well as the return to the First Division in 2007/08.
The presentation of his new role will take place on Thursday 17th December at 11 a.m. at the Juan Cortés press room in La Rosaleda stadium.
